Our Stables on Dartmoor

Liberty Trails is all about luxury – not just for you, but for your horse too.

So whether you choose the War Horse Ride, The West Moor Ride or The Ten Tors Adventure, we’ll start and finish each day in a different, privately owned, purpose built stable yard on Dartmoor.

At the end of each day, your horse will enjoy a nice stretch and roll in a paddock before settling into a large airy stable under the watchful eye of the owners who live on site.


* All our yards are small and exclusive, catering for a maximum of five horses at a time and provide a quiet, safe and secure overnight stay for your horse.

* All our stables are fitted with rubber mats and bedded with chopped straw or shavings.

* Each yard is fully equipped to help you travel lighter and we provide a luggage transfer service for feed, rugs and grooming kit.

* Our yard manager is available to cover the stable work, tack cleaning and any other jobs that you’d like to offload so that you get to do less work and have more fun with your horse.

Feed

We have accounts with the local feed merchants and will willingly collect and deliver feed and bedding on request. This is charged at cost.

Vets

Eqwest, the local equine veterinary practice, provides 24/7 emergency cover. The local farrier and bare foot trimmer are available if needed.
